"New Beginnings” is the annual holiday gala sponsored by the Vera House Foundation Board of Trustees to benefit the programs and services of Vera House, Inc. “New Beginnings” typically brings together over 500 guests to celebrate the season and support the agency’s mission to end domestic and sexual violence.

This year's event will have two options for participation. Individuals who are fully vaccinated or provided a negative COVID-19 test with 72 hours of the event or a negative rapid test within 6 hours of the event are invited to attend our famous in-person Gala at the Oncenter. All COVID-19 safety precautions set down at the time of the event will be abided by.

Alternately, we will provide a fully virtual version of the Gala for those unable to or uncomfortable with attending in person. The virtual event will be free of charge, though donations are always appreciated!

The evening includes an exciting silent auction featuring high-end items such as vacations, artwork, sporting event tickets, jewelry, restaurant gift certificates and much, much more. A "Wine Pull" and entertainment will round out the evening.

For those attending at the Oncenter, you’ll also be able to dance the night away to the sounds of Silver Arrow Band.
